Objectives of the Program
- To bring awareness among elderly persons about mobile applications for the fulfillment of various needs related to health monitoring needs, personal information needs, social needs commuting needs, leisure besides safety and privacy needs.
- To sensitize elderly citizens about various government schemes & programmes, informing them about various legislation, acts and personal laws enacted for their protection, usage of smart phones, precautions & security from common frauds, preventive and curative health care.
- To organize and conduct training programmes for Elderly Citizens across four districts of Haryana about uses and applications of IT for their Health, Security, Financial management, e-Commerce, Legal Security, Travel, Usage of Smart IT Devices including smart phones, fitness and other emergency services.
Expected Outcomes of the Program
- Digitally literate elderly citizens who can become a change agent for more such people and projects.
- It is expected that these training programmes would help to improve comfort in their lives, enable them to connect with world of technology independently & hassle-free manner besides resulting in significant savings.
- The training conducive to the sentiments of the elderly will help to clear their apprehensions about using technology & the misnomers about the safety & security related to digital technology and its use and trigger interest in adopting a digital culture.

- Total 8 modules to be covered namely IT Knowledge | Safety and Security | Health Security | Financial Security | Legal Knowledge | E-Governance | Mobility/Travel Management | Online Services
- One module covered in one session. One session per day, 3 hour per session
- The courses comprises theory and hands on sessions for the elderly citizens.
- The content comprises of Youtube, Animations, Videos, PPTs, Audio, Text and is delivered by subject Experts and Trained trainers.
Getting digital literacy training can give elder adults the skills and confidence to access information and services online.

Seniors in a digital world can be easily overwhelmed by all the new technology around us. Indeed, getting some simple training in using computers, tablets, and smartphones can help seniors to stay connected with their families, friends, and communities.
In this module we cover basics of email, internet, web browsing, YouTube and also apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype.
Taking advantage of social media can help older people stay connected and engaged to family, friends and their community and the wider world.
Adoption of technologies can empower older people, provided they are aware of the risks and protect themselves adequately by keeping up to date with, for example, scams targeting older people

In this module, we create awareness among the citizens regarding digital finance services and also enable/support them to access various digital finance services, the various threats which they may face while using these digital services and also about the various mitigation methods to be safe while using digital payment services.
Switching the conventional mode of approaching legal service institution and opting digital mode will be fruitful for every stake holder of legal service institution as it will save time, money of every beneficiary.
